Written Directions to the Cottage with the Green Roof!

From North [Montreal] to Bolton Pinehill Cottage:
Distance from Montreal: 160 miles     Time: 3 hours

  • Take Adirondack Northway [I-87] south to Bolton Landing, Exit 24.
  • At end of ramp turn left and follow road [County Route 11] to the end [T intersection].
  • Turn right onto Route 9N (Lake Shore Drive) south and immediately look right for two cottages [Pinecrest Cottages (sign may be down)] at road side and a third with a green roof [Bolton Pinehill Cottage] on the hill.
  • Use common drive to parking half way up the hill or park at the cottage.

From the South [NYC] to Bolton Pinehill Cottage:
Distance from NYC: 230 miles     Time: 4–4 1/2 hours

  • Take Adirondack Northway [I-87] north to Lake George Village - Exit 22.
  • Stay to the left on the exit ramp and follow signs for Bolton Landing.
  • At the end of the ramp, at the traffic light, turn left onto Route 9N (Lake Shore Drive).
  • Follow road for 9.2 miles to Bolton Landing.
  • From the Bolton Landing Firehouse & Stewart’s, continue north on Route 9N for 1.7 miles.
  • Just before the T intersection [9N & Route 11] and traffic light, look immediately left.
  • There you will see, south of the T intersection, two cottages [Pinecrest Cottages (sign may be down)] at road side and a third with a green roof [Bolton Pinehill Cottage] on the hill.
  • Use common drive to parking half way up the hill or park at the cottage.

From East [Boston] to Bolton Pinehill Cottage:
Distance from Boston: 230 miles     Time: 4 hours

  • Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) West towards Albany.
  • After toll, continue to follow signs for New York State Thruway/I-87.
  • Take NYS Thruway north to Albany Exit 24.
  • Immediately after toll, take Exit 1N (I-87 North to Montreal).
  • Continue north on I-87 to Exit 22, Lake George Village.
  • Stay to the left on the exit ramp and follow signs for Bolton Landing.
  • At the end of the ramp, at the traffic light, turn left onto Route 9N (Lake Shore Drive).
  • Follow road for 9.2 miles to Bolton Landing.
  • From the Bolton Landing Firehouse & Stewart’s, continue north on Route 9N for 1.7 miles.

  • Take the New York State Thruway (I-90) East to Albany Exit 24.
  • Go north on the Adirondack Northway (I-87) and get off at exit 22.
  • Stay to the left on the exit ramp and follow signs for Bolton Landing.
  • At the end of the ramp, at the traffic light, turn left onto Route 9N (Lake Shore Drive).
  • Follow road for 9.2 miles to Bolton Landing.
  • From the Bolton Landing Firehouse & Stewart’s, continue north on Route 9N for 1.7 miles.
